Appointments are available by phoning us on
Appointment booking at The Oakwood Surgery is quick and easy. You can ask for a telephone call back from one of our clinicians by popping into the reception, calling the practice by telephone, by sending us an email or booking an appointment directly online.
Our telephone number is 01302 537 611
When you phone the practice, our reception team will briefly ask you about your problem (to help give our doctors an idea of what you need and how urgently your problem needs to be dealt with). They will ask you for your telephone number so that a Doctor can call you back.
Shortly after, one of our doctors will give you a call back and try to help. If you need to see one of our team, they will offer you an appointment based on your availability and need. Most patients prefer to be seen on the same day, but if you need an appointment booking for some point in the future - don’t worry, we do that too.
You can login to see the appointments that we have available to book online. Follow this link for online access to appointments
At peak times, there may be occasions where we are unable to offer you a same day appointment. Click here to see what other care options are available.
Think that you need to show the doctor something but don’t fancy coming to see us? That’s ok - why not ask for a SKYPE appointment? When you call the practice, just let the receptionist know that you would like a SKYPE call. But remember to stay by your computer or mobile phone!
It’s really useful for us if you call us in the morning to book your appointment, (so that we can organise our day), but we know you’re busy people too, so if you have to call later in the day as that’s when your free - that’s ok by us, but we might not be able to fit you in on the same day.
